Travel Document of Identity
Important: Applicants are required to appear in person when lodging the application. A non-renewable Travel Document of Identity will be issued in cases of emergency only for one-way travel to Zambia and applicants will be required to submit a copy of their air ticket.
The validity of a Travel document is three (3) months, and the processing time is a maximum of three (3) business days.
Please note: A person who acquired another citizenship before 5th January 2016 is not entitled to apply for a Travel Document. However, they should apply for Bestowal of Citizenship.
- A duly completed Form
- Two (2) recent passport size photographs
- Current/expired passport
- National Registration Card (NRC)
- Biometric Residence Permit or letter of Non- Acquisition of British Citizenship. (For British Residents)
APPLICANTS UNDER THE AGE OF SIXTEEN (16)
- A duly completed Form
- Two (2) recent passport size photographs
- Current/expired passport
- Birth certificate
- Parents National Registration Card
- Consent form signed by parent.
- Biometric Residence Permit
- £15.00
- £15.00 penalty fee will be charged where a passport is lost
